Script & Treatment Analysis and what you can expect from Spirit Wind Films

We understand how hard you’ve worked to get your screenplay this far.  Developing your characters and storyline is never an easy task.  Your ties to your script go deep and you don’t want to think about changing anything, fine-tuning, or even re-writing.

But, to see this hard work pay off, every screenwriter (amateur and professional) must be willing to make the changes needed to spark an interest, get the script sold, and ultimately see it produced.

We know that criticism is hard to take, and therefore, we will not criticize your work, but we will critique it through constructive suggestions and ideas, contributing helpful and professional techniques and scenarios to hopefully inspire you to a new level of creativity with your story.

Our comprehensive service will provide a fresh look at your script through experienced eyes and we will prepare a written, detailed evaluation (a five-page minimum), offering creative answers to problem areas.   In addition, a one-hour phone conversation with your script analyst about the evaluation is also included.

Screenplay:

• Critique fee is $395, payable by cashier’s check or Paypal.
• For submissions received electronically (email attachment) please add $10 for printing.
• Generally, turnaround time is 3 to 4 weeks, but for RUSH service please add $100.
• For screenplays over 120 pages, an additional charge may apply.
• For phone consultation over one hour, a $1 per minute fee may apply.
• A follow-up critique of the revised script receives a $100 discount if reviewed within 90 days of the original critique.

Treatment:

An incredible screenplay starts with a dynamic, well-written treatment.  You have a great idea and you’ve thought about a storyline and the main characters.  You have made a start, but you want to develop it further and bring more richness to the presentation.

Our detailed notes and suggestions will help you create an enticing depiction of your story so those requesting your treatment will hopefully grasp the beauty of your work, your writing style, and be intrigued enough to request your entire script.

A one-hour phone conversation with your treatment analyst is also included.

• Critique fee is $295, payable by cashier’s check or Paypal.
• Generally, turnaround time is 3 to 4 weeks.
• For treatments over 20 pages, an additional charge of $5 per page will apply (maximum 10 additional pages or $50).
• For phone consultation over one hour, a $1 per minute fee may apply.
• A follow-up critique of the revised treatment receives a $50 discount if reviewed within 90 days of the original critique.

Phone Consultation Only:

Having a one-on-one phone conversation with your script or treatment analyst is an invaluable process that will help you truly understand the critique they have presented and it will give you a “live” person to connect with who really cares about your success.

The phone conversation will commence after you have received your returned script with handwritten notes and your minimum five-page critique.

We do also offer this phone conversation without a formal critique of your script or treatment.  You will submit your material and the analyst will read it, preparing for the one-hour conversation.  The intention is to open up a dialogue about your theme and brainstorm in an effort to spark creativity and imagination.  You will be advised on characters, plots points, story arc, character arcs and other major aspects of your story.

• Generally, turnaround time is 2 to 3 weeks, but for RUSH service (one week or less) please add $50.

• For treatments over 20 pages, an additional charge of $3 per page will apply (maximum 10 additional pages or $30).
• For phone consultation over one hour, a $1 per minute fee may apply.
