By Jane L. Fitzpatrick (March 22, 1981)
Creator formed the rolling hills,
The mountains high with snow,
Created clouds and starry nights,
And the earth that lies below.
Created all of life, you see,
In every glorious form,
The land, the sea, the changing wind,
And everything that’s born.
Created the minds of geniuses,
And made the sounds we sing.
The hearts that fill with vibrant joy,
In every day’s beginnings!
If Creation can form all there is,
If life is our first gift,
Is not our greatest calling,
To help other hearts to shift.
And then our hope would surely rise,
With purpose in our steps,
To spread the Truth of love,
Shining light to the very depths.
My prayer is to be sensitive,
Claim the messages to me,
For we can be a lantern,
We have everything we need.
